Nathan and Karen Karcesky

Nathan Karcesky

Senior Pastor

Pastor Nathan Karcesky grew up in Indonesia with missionary parents.  He accepted Christ around the tender age of 7 but didn’t fully know what it meant till he was 16 and felt called into full time ministry. He is a humble and gifted servant of God whose ultimate desire is to do the will of God. He has seen God’s hand in the call to move and become the next pastor at Journey Church.  God has made it clear through testimonies, miracles, scripture and friends that this was His next step for Nathan and his wife Karen.

Pastor Nathan comes to Journey Church with a large variety of experience.  He grew up on the mission field and has lived in multiple countries and multiple states. He has done everything from managing a restaurant, working in a chicken factory, and loading boxes for UPS. After he finished his undergrad in missiology, he felt a strong calling to work with the next generation.  He completed his Masters of Divinity, and then began working with the next generation, families, care ministry, missions, adult small groups, and other ministries within the local church.  In 2023, he completed a doctorate of ministry from Alliance Theological Seminary.

Pastor Nathan’s passion is for people, to introduce Jesus, shepherd, develop, and care for all generations and all peoples.  His life motto is focused on loving God and loving others.  He is a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and is willing to go toe to toe with any Patriots fan.  He loves to build things with his hands, play golf, hike with his wife, and do things outdoors.

Nathan is excited to see how Journey Church can become a beacon of light in the Mount Washington Valley.

He is joined with Karen, his wife of 29 years. They have two adult children; daughter Brianne (and son-in-law Burke), and son Connor. Family is everything to the Karcesky’s and they will bring that passion and energy to our community.

Kyle and Emily Hines

Kyle Hines

Associate Pastor

God has richly blessed Pastor Kyle’s life and home. The Lord gave Kyle an incredible wife, Emily, whom he married in 2019, and two precious boys, Lincoln and Sonny. Kyle and his family were led to Journey Church at the beginning of 2025 and have since settled into the Valley and the community here. They love people and love walking with others as they walk with Jesus—seeing Him more clearly day by day and taking small steps of faithful obedience. Kyle feels blessed to live in such a beautiful area and often enjoys hiking mountains or going treasure hunting with his boys.

Pastor Kyle grew up in Western Massachusetts in a Christian home that was very involved in the life of the church. When he was 21, he came to understand his need for the forgiveness of his sins and placed his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. Since then, it has been a beautiful, slow journey of walking with the Lord and being led by His Spirit each day.

Kyle began serving in youth ministry and other church functions in 2013. After interning in East Africa in 2015, he took a year-long internship with his home church in Chicopee, MA. After completing that internship and further academic equipping, Kyle stepped into the role of Youth Director in 2016. He was licensed in June 2019 as he aspired toward the pastorate and worked to be qualified for that calling. While serving in leadership and on staff for six years at his former church, he was blessed with the opportunity to teach a Christian maturity class for three years, to counsel many brothers and sisters of all ages, to spearhead and advance various church initiatives, and to labor in prayer with others.

Equally meaningful to Kyle have been the organic, Spirit-led opportunities—like delivering meals, helping people rake leaves or move, meeting up for coffee, or reading the Word together. He believes the Church is most compelling when Christians are living “together,” empowered by the Spirit of God to fulfill their purpose in Christ—where love is the highest ethic, and God brings real deliverance.

Kyle and Emily love ministering to youth and their families. They believe the family is where Satan often chooses to attack—and rightfully so. From the breakdown of the family stems much of our grumbling, failure, distraction, and generational sin. But from the spiritual health of families comes great blessing, hope, and light to the household of faith and to our neighbors. This is the first ministry in Christ, and it is where Kyle strives to exercise both humility and spiritual leadership.

The Hines family is eagerly looking forward to all that the Lord has in store in this season of their lives. Pastor Kyle is both humbled and delighted to serve and shepherd the flock of God here at Journey Church.
All glory to God!
